A Dragon`s Rose opened on May 14, 2004.
I first started working on it sometime in January 2004 after I watched Yu Yu Hakusho.
I watched a couple more episodes and found out that Hiei and Kurama were the best characters ever created in my opinion.
So, I decided to make a shrine for them instead of the whole YYH show.
I put the site on the web before it was finished, well, just started, and that wasn`t a good idea because people were so excited to see a Hiei and Kurama site so they kept asking me when it was going to be done.
There`s a tip for all of you just-getting-started website owners.
Never put a site up until it is finished! Hopefully you learn from my mistakes.
Anyways, I came up with the name after I learned more about Hiei and Kurama.
I wanted a name that had to do with Hiei`s dragon and Kurama`s roses.
I thought of many combinations of those words, but I thought that A Dragon`s Rose sounded the best.
Yes, I know it sounds like I`m refering them to yaoi, like Kurama, as the rose belongs to Hiei, the dragon.
Well, I`m not. This is a non-yaoi site except for the fan section were fans submit there fanwork, yaoi or not.
Past Layouts:
Version 3 of A Dragon's Rose. This is definitely my favorite. Even though, as much as I loved this one, we needed a change because this layout was up for a little over 2 years. ^_^;; It was made with a beautiful doujinshi image by Azumi Tohru and brushes from
The Fifth Muse.
This is version 2 of A Dragon's Rose. This layout was up for along time. I loved it! I made it with brushes and I cut out those images.
This is version 1 of A Dragon's Rose. It was used for about 3 months until I started to get tired of it. It was ok I guess, but version 2 is way better!
This was the first layout that I ever made in my life.
I think it was pretty good for the first time.
I didn`t really use it that much cause this site was under construction when I made it.
Then while I was working on my site, I learned how to use my graphic programs better, so I decided to make a new layout.
