Although Yukina appears human, she is actually an Ice Apparition from the Spirit World. She possesses powers that enable he to freeze her surroundings at will. As an interesting side-effect of these powers, when Yukina cries, her tears harden into beautiful jewels. These jewels are very valuable, thus Yukina finds herself a target of the greed of evil men. She has studied the art of Spirit Healing and is very proficient in her abilities.





Hina is Hiei and Yukina`s mother. She is the ice maiden of Koorime. Hiei was cast from their homeland because he is a fire demon. Hina shed a tear that Ruri, Hina`s best friend and the one ordered to cast the child, gave to Hiei.
